Common Issues
Translation bubble isn't appearing
- Make sure the Veris extension is enabled in chrome://extensions.
- Try refreshing the page — the content script needs to load on each page visit.
- Some pages (Chrome settings pages, the Chrome Web Store itself, PDFs opened from local disk) restrict content scripts. This is a Chrome limitation.
- If the page uses very heavy CSS isolation, the bubble may appear but be hidden. Try zooming out or scrolling to find it.
Offline translation not working
- Chrome's Translation API requires language models to be downloaded first. On first use with a new language, Chrome downloads the model in the background — this requires a temporary internet connection.
- Check that the source and target languages are both supported by opening chrome://flags and searching for "Translation API".
Premium license not activating
- Copy the license key exactly from your Lemon Squeezy order confirmation email or from My Orders at app.lemonsqueezy.com.
- Open the Veris extension popup → Settings → License, paste the key, and click Activate.
- Make sure you are connected to the internet when activating — the key is verified against Lemon Squeezy's API.
- If the key was already activated on another device, contact us and we can reset it.
Google Drive sync not working
- Go to Settings → Google Drive inside the extension and reconnect your Google Account.
- Ensure you have granted the required Drive permissions when prompted.
- Sync runs automatically every 30 minutes. Use the Sync Now button for an immediate sync.
- Check that your Google Drive is not full.
